Drivers are being told to cover their cars in CARDBOARD on Tuesday night as a big problem sweeps England. The UK snow storm is bringing with it the threat of 20 CENTIMETRES of the white stuff, with 51 hours worth of warnings issued by the Met Office.

The forecasters have warned the UK could experience eight inches and -6C temperatures. Ahead of the cold spell, drivers, motorists and road users have been warned to act.

If there is a risk of windscreen wipers freezing overnight, place cardboard between the blades and the windscreen, the BBC has suggested. The Beeb adds: "Keep your fuel tank topped up so if you are caught out, you have enough fuel to make it home, or run the engine to keep warm.
