CHICAGO (WLS) -- A person of interest is in custody after a woman was set on fire and critically injured on a CTA Blue Line train in the Loop Monday night, Chicago police said.

The incident occurred at about 9:25 p.m. near the Clark and Lake station

Police said the 26-year-old woman was in a verbal fight with a man. That's when police said the man poured a liquid on the woman and ignited it.

The train came to a stop and the suspect fled, police said. The woman got off the train and fell and the fire was extinguished before officers arrived, police said.
