The BMC has issued a tender to connect the broken stretch of the pedestrian and cycling path under the Mumbai Coastal Road Project .
According to the tender, a 320–325 metre section of the walkway between Lotus Jetty in Worli and the Badoda Palace building will be connected. The estimated cost of the work is INR 9.64 crore, and the civic body aims to complete the project within six months.
The 7.5-km footpath and road on the Coastal Road was opened to citizens round-the-clock from August 15. This includes the 5.25-km stretch from Priyadarshini Park to Haji Ali and from Badoda Palace to Worli, as well as the section between Poonam Chambers and the Worli bowstring arch bridge.
