The National Transportation Safety Board will release the findings of its investigation into the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse and the probable cause of the tragedy Tuesday morning.
The announcement into the investigation comes one day after officials updated the cost estimate for the rebuild and pushed the estimated timeline back.
After initially saying the new bridge should be reopened by fall 2028, officials revised the estimated opening date to be in late 2030. The Maryland Transportation Authority said the cost will likely be anywhere from $4.3 billion to $5.2 billion.
The findings will be released during a public meeting in Washington, D.C that is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. It will be livestreamed here.
This report will be updated.
