If you're trying to access your X (formerly known as Twitter) account on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, you might notice the site is having some issues. Is it just you that's dealing with it?
The answer is: Nope, it's not just you.
Down Detector noted a bunch of problems that users were having on Tuesday morning. As of publishing, the X Developer Platform showed no issues, but Cloudflare did note an issue.
What's the specific issue? Per Cloudflare: "Cloudflare is aware of, and investigating an issue which impacts multiple customers: Widespread 500 errors, Cloudflare Dashboard and API also failing.We are working to understand the full impact and mitigate this problem. More updates to follow shortly."
Maybe that's it? Stay tuned.
Seems like it's fixed!
Per Cloudflare: "A fix has been implemented and we believe the incident is now resolved. We are continuing to monitor for errors to ensure all services are back to normal."

What was the reason for the Cloudflare outage?
Per CNBC:
A Cloudflare spokesperson said the company observed a “spike in unusual traffic” to one of its services around 6:20 a.m. ET, causing some traffic passing through its network to experience errors.
“We do not yet know the cause of the spike in unusual traffic,” the spokesperson added. “We are all hands on deck to make sure all traffic is served without errors.”
Cloudflare is still trying to fix the problem
WARP access is back in London and "We are continuing to work towards restoring other services," per their status page.

During our attempts to remediate, we have disabled WARP access in London. Users in London trying to access the Internet via WARP will see a failure to connect.
