Amusement park chain Wonderla Holidays has announced the launch of Wonderla Chennai, built with an investment of over ₹611 crore. The park, spanning 65 acres, is expected to create over 1,000 direct and indirect jobs. The park will be inaugurated on December 1 by Chief Minister MK Stalin and will open to the public the following day, says a release.
Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, Arun K. Chittilappilly, Executive Chairman and Managing Director, Wonderla Holidays, believed that Wonderla Chennai will be India’s most advanced and immersive amusement park. “Wonderla Chennai is the culmination of a decade-long dream, made possible through the continued support and encouragement of the Government of Tamil Nadu. This launch marks our presence across all of South India,” he said.
