A state delegate is sounding the alarm on the Warren Road Bridge that goes over Baltimore County’s Loch Raven Reservoir.

Construction on a bridge that would replace the 103-year-old structure was supposed to begin in 2025, but there has been no action with less than two months remaining in the calendar year.

“You hear, clink, clink, clink when you’re going over it. You think the plates are going to shift,” said Karen Pilecki, a Baltimore County resident.

Residents said it can be nerve-wracking driving over the narrow, noisy bridge. The historic metal structure has had its fair share of issues — it has been temporarily closed for emergency repairs many times over the years, including in 2016 and 2019.
