In a significant breakthrough, the Andhra Pradesh police arrested 31 Maoist activists, including nine members of Central Committee leader Devji’s security team, on Tuesday as security forces intensified search operations following the encounter of top Maoist commander Madvi Hidma earlier today.
In continuation of the surveillance efforts, security forces and police teams carried out search operations in Vijayawada, NTR, Krishna, Kakinada districts, and other areas, leading to the arrest of 31 individuals, news agency ANI reported. In Krishna district’s Penamaluru, Andhra Police detained six Maoist sympathisers staying in a single residential building.
