The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday (November 18, 2025) appointed Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya as the central observer for the election of legislature party leader in Bihar to be held on Wednesday (November 19).
As per a release put out by the party, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal and former Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti have been appointed co-observers.
Mr. Maurya had also been the party’s election in-charge in Bihar for the Assembly polls, along with Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and C. R. Patil.
The BJP-led NDA alliance posted a major victory at the recent polls in the State. The new government is likely to be sworn in on November 20 at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.
