India has achieved a significant diplomatic victory with the deportation of Anmol Bishnoi, a key suspect in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique. He is expected to arrive in New Delhi on Wednesday. This development follows a year-long extradition process initiated by Mumbai police after Siddique was killed in October 2024.

Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, is also implicated in other serious crimes, including the shooting outside Bollywood star Salman Khan's residence and the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. His deportation was confirmed by Zeeshan Siddique, Baba Siddique's son, who received an email from the US Department of Homeland Security stating that Anmol had been "removed" from the United States as of November 18.

Zeeshan Siddique expressed his hope that Anmol would be brought back to India for interrogation and trial. He emphasized the importance of understanding the full conspiracy behind his father's murder, stating, "It's very important for us to know who has asked Anmol Bishnoi to do this."

Anmol was arrested in the US for allegedly entering the country illegally and had sought asylum, which was denied. Following his arrest, India issued a non-bailable warrant and a Red Corner Notice through Interpol. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has placed him on its Most Wanted List, offering a reward of Rs 10 lakh for information leading to his capture.

Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister, was shot dead in Bandra, and the investigation has led to several arrests linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The case continues to unfold as authorities work to bring Anmol Bishnoi back to India for justice.
