Odisha Government has decided to create four new Tahasils to strengthen administrative efficiency and improve public service delivery in urban areas.

According to an official communication issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, two additional Tahasils will be carved out of the existing Bhubaneswar Tahasil, while one each will be created by bifurcating Cuttack and Sambalpur Tahasils.

The move comes in response to challenges faced by these large Tahasils, which include vast geographical areas, rising population density, and increasing demand for diverse public services.
