Several major social media and internet platforms are facing technical difficulties Tuesday morning as a result of a widespread network outage.
The company behind the outage, Cloudflare, is responsible for providing a range of services for websites such as performance enhancement capabilities, security and application development tools through its global network.
But on Tuesday, Nov. 18, the company’s outage took major websites such as X, Spotify and ChatGPT down with it.
Cloudflare posted several updates on Tuesday morning outlining the progression of its outage.

Before 7 a.m., the company said it was “experiencing an internal service degradation,” and that “some services may be intermittently impacted.”
