ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
Police are investigating a homicide in northwest Albuquerque that happened Monday evening.
According to Albuquerque police, detectives are investigating a shooting that happened on the 2900 block of Carlton Street NW.
Police say when officers arrived to the scene, they saw a vehicle speeding away from the scene. After officers lost the vehicle, automated license plate readers found it.
Police say after a pursuit the driver of the car was taken into custody near Unser Boulevard NW and Ladera Drive NW.
A body was found inside the suspect's vehicle and a homicide investigation began, according to police.
Police say one person has been taken into custody.
