South Carolina nearly pulled of a win over No. 3 Texas A&M this weekend after holding a 30-3 lead, but the Gamecocks still managed to lose.
After hat brutal collapse, ESPN host Paul Finebaum, speaking on " The Matt Barrie Show ," placed the blame on head coach Shane Beamer.
“There’s nothing like blowing a lead like that, especially at the No. 3 team, especially at their house,” Finebaum said. “Of the 19 mistakes you make in the second half, [if] you only make 18, you still win the game. But leave it to Shane Beamer for his team to make every one of them.”
A few weeks ago, the Gamecocks also blew an eight-point lead over Alabama in the fourth quarter.
Finebaum doesn’t think Beamer’s job is safe after he finished 1-7 in conference play this season.
