Safety Check: What to do if your car breaks down on a busy highway

A sudden breakdown on I-80/94, U.S. 30 or another busy Northwest Indiana highway can be stressful and dangerous. Indiana State Police and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) urge drivers to stay calm, move to safety if possible, and call for help quickly to reduce risk to yourself and others.
