WASHINGTON –– Accusers of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein –– along with House lawmakers who have led the charge to have files in the investigation into Epstein released –– heralded an expected vote in the lower chamber Tuesday to force the publication of more material, and called on the Senate to also pass the measure.
The group gathered on Capitol Hill shortly before the House was slated to consider a bill that would require the Justice Department to publish “all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials” related to its investigation into the late, disgraced financier, who officials say killed himself in a Manhattan jail while awaiting trial in 2019 on sex trafficking charges.
