New Delhi, Nov 18 (UNI) The Australian High Commission in India has joined international partners in raising awareness about visa scams and fraudulent migration practices as part of International Fraud Awareness Week which is being held from November 16-22.
Visa fraud has become a growing global concern, with criminals deceiving individuals through fake visa documents, false guarantees, and claims of being legitimate migration agents. These scams can result in financial loss, emotional distress, and long-term impacts on a person’s ability to travel.
At the 2025 Five Country Ministerial (FCM) in September, Ministers from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the integrity of migration and border systems.
