A Powerball ticket sold in Western Washington just missed the $549 million jackpot but still won big in a second-chance drawing, according to state lottery officials.
The ticket won $50,000 in the Double Play drawing held after the Powerball drawing on Saturday, a spokesperson for Washington’s Lottery told The Olympian via email.
Double Play is a $1 add-on that gives Powerball players a second chance to win prizes.
The winning Washington ticket matched four numbers and the red Powerball in the Double Play drawing, according to the national Powerball website. Where was winning Washington Powerball ticket sold?
The winning Washington ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven convenience store, 8214 N.E. Vancouver Mall Loop in Vancouver, the lottery official said.
