Accused trafficker Jeffrey Epstein's brother told NewsNation's Chris Cuomo that there is a lot of "dirt" on President Donald Trump from the information the estate has gathered since his death.
Speaking to Cuomo Monday night, Mark Epstein, he "didn’t tell me what he knew, but Jeffrey definitely had dirt on Trump."
Mark Epstein told Cuomo that he would not comment on the now infamous email exchange in which he asks his brother if Russian President Vladimir Putin had photos of Trump and a man named "Bubba" engaged in sexual acts.
Some believe the "Bubba" in question was former President Bill Clinton, who is sometimes referred to with the name to mock his Arkansas heritage. Mark Epstein said that he was concerned about that claim because he "likes" Clinton and didn't want such a lie to spread. Jeffrey and Mark Epstein were not referring to Clinton in the email, the former said.
Jeffrey Epstein told his brother in 2016 that if he were to release everything he "knew about the candidates" that they would "have to cancel the election."
"You can see in the emails. Trump can deny all he wants, but it's pretty clear," Mark Epstein continued. "It's provable he was in Jeffrey's office. It's provable he was in the house. It's provable he was there. Everything he said was a lie."
He went on to tell Cuomo that the reason that Trump and Republicans have suddenly "flipped" on releasing the files is that they are "sanitizing" by removing all Republican names prior to the release. Mark Epstein confirmed he was told that "by a pretty good source."
Legal analysts have surmised the Justice Department might put a stop to the release of the files by announcing an investigation into Democrats who might be in the files. If there is an option investigation, the DOJ can argue that the files can't be released.
The Epstein estate has released two large batches of emails and information. In the latest document dump, the president's name was mentioned in emails.
A January 2019 email revealed that Jeffrey Epstein told columnist and author Michael Wolff that "of course [Trump] knew about the girls as he asked [co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell] to stop."
Another email from April 2011, Epstein told Maxwell Trump is the "dog that hasn’t barked" and “spent hours at my house" with one of the survivors.
Mark Epstein also said that his focus has been that "Jeffrey did not commit suicide" and said "I don't care" about the files and who might be in them. He also claimed "Bill Barr is part of the cover-up. ... Either he's part of the cover-up or he's stupid."
He alleged that FBI Director Kash Patel is now part of the cover-up as well, noting that there was never a "murder investigation" done into his brother's death because it was declared a suicide from the very beginning. Christopher Wray was the FBI director at the time of Jeffrey Epstein's death and Barr was the attorney general overseeing the Justice Department.
