A man alleged to be an influential organized crime figure in Montreal was arrested Tuesday morning by the RCMP on a request from authorities in the U.S.
According to a report by La Presse, Atna (2-Pac) Onha, 40, was arrested as a suspect in the murder of Jonathan Acebedo-Garcia, a man who was killed in a restaurant in Medellín, Colombia, on Jan 31.
Acebedo-Garcia was reportedly set testify as a witness in a case involving an FBI investigation into Ryan Wedding, a Canadian and a former Olympic snowboarder who once resided in Montreal. Wedding is on the FBI’s most wanted list.
