A suspect was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that in Pittsburgh’s South Side last month, authorities said Tuesday.

Moniem Strothers, 26, faces multiple charges, including homicide and firearms offenses in the Oct. 12 shooting that killed 33-year-old Steve Robertson on East Carson Street.

According to the criminal complaint, Pittsburgh Police officers were patrolling the 1200 block of East Carson Street when they heard a single gunshot just after 10 p.m. that night.

As they were working to determine where the gunshot came from, officers noticed a white sedan speeding past them. They then saw, Robertson, a Squirrel Hill resident, on the ground with a single gunshot wound below his neck, police said.

Robertson was taken to UPMC Mercy and was pronounced dead shortly after.
