ANAHEIM, CA — Angels outielder Mike Trout found himself on the injured list once again after he was unexpectedly crushed by a falling piano during his first at bat in last night's loss to the St. Louis Cardinals.
The injury, which came on the heels of a minor hand contusion Trout suffered in the season opener when he was hit by a pitch, is just the latest in a long line of unfortunate turns of events that have kept one of the most talented players of all time off the field.
"Unbelievable. Last year, he slipped on the banana peel trying to steal second, and now a piano falls on his head," said play-by-play announcer Wayne Randazzo. "This guy just can't catch a break."
