Andrew Garfield is swinging away from conversations about his dating life.

The After the Hunt actor, who has been linked to Monica Barbaro since February, recently detailed how he has adopted a much more private mindset when it comes to his career, especially where dating is concerned.

“It feels like a violation of my inner world, my private world,” Andrew told Vanity Fair in an interview published Nov. 18. “I thought maybe that would soften at some point, but I’m very surprised to say that it hasn’t.”

And though the Oscar nominee has occasionally stepped out for romantic outings—including a West End production in February and leaving an Oscars afterparty—with the A Complete Unknown star, he’s not as up front when it comes to discussing his dating life.
