LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The Holt Education Foundation has awarded more than $17,000 in mini-grants to support classroom innovation and enhanced learning across Holt Public Schools.

This year’s grants will fund 21 projects designed to strengthen academic programs and encourage new approaches to teaching. Approved projects for the 2025–26 school year include:

A literacy project for the Pre-K for All program at the Midway Early Learning Center

A music-based initiative, Color, Calm, and Connection, to support student learning at Elliott Elementary School

A Girls’ Dream Fair focused on STEM exploration at Holt Junior High School

The creation of a Spanish-language book collection for the Holt Junior High School library

A dedicated library section at Holt High School offering materials for
