An FIR has been registered in Udaipur against filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and seven others following allegations that they duped IVF specialist Dr Ajay Murdia of approximately ₹30 crore under the pretext of producing multiple film projects.

The case has been filed at Bhupalpura police station based on Dr Murdia’s claim that the group persuaded him to invest in four films and documentaries, including a biographical project centred on his late wife Indira.

According to the complaint, Bhatt and his associates allegedly assured Dr Murdia that the films would deliver significant commercial returns, with projected earnings of up to ₹200 crore. The FIR lists eight accused, including Vikram Bhatt, his wife Shwetambari Bhatt, his daughter Krishna Bhatt, and associates Dinesh Kataria and Mehboob Ansari
