Pittsburgh Steeler s head coach Mike Tomlin says that star running back Jaylen Warren is dealing with an ankle injury and they are ‘optimistic’ that he can play against the Chicago Bears . He will be limited to start the week, but could return later in the week.
Warren was in for one snap, but the Steelers called a timeout and pulled him from their game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He did not take another snap.
Mike Tomlin said after the game that he thinks Warren ‘was able to return’ but simply did not, signifying the injury could be minor. Kenneth Gainwell had two touchdowns in his place, but Warren has been an engine for the Steelers offense.
