PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The best of the best in the restaurant industry descended on Philadelphia Tuesday night, filling the Marion Anderson Hall in the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts for the inaugural Michelin GuideNortheast Cities Ceremony.

Honorees included restaurants from five cities, including Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, New York City and Washington, D.C.

Philadelphia restaurants Her Place Supper Club, Friday Saturday Sunday, and Provenance were awarded the coveted Michelin Star honor, widely considered the gold standard in the industry.
