November is the peak month for deer-related crashes in Tennessee, but Hamilton County has seen less than usual.

During deer season , Tennessee state troopers say drivers are more likely to encounter deer on the road.

However, compared to last November, there have been fewer crashes involving deer in Hamilton County this season. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says there have been 19 crashes involving deer in unincorporated Hamilton County since November 1.

In 2024, there were more than 8,000 deer-related crashes across Tennessee, according to the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security. Five of those resulted in deaths and 465 resulted in injury.

They add that 7,571 of those resulted in property damage only.
