Elizabeth Franz, a Tony Award-winning actress celebrated for her stage presence and portrayal of Linda Loman in “Death of a Salesman,” has died at 84, according to The Hollywood Reporter .
Her husband, screenwriter Christopher Pelham, told the New York Times she died Nov. 4 at her home in Woodbury, Connecticut, following a battle with cancer and a severe reaction to treatment medication.
Born Elizabeth Jean Frankovitch in Akron on June 18, 1941, Franz began her career at the Weathervane Playhouse in Rubber City before moving to New York, according to Playbill . She made her Broadway debut in 1967 in Tom Stoppard’s “Rosencrantz” and “Guildenstern Are Dead,” launching a five-decade career that spanned stage, television and film, Playbill also said.
