Srinagar, Nov 18: GMC Handwara has become the first medical college in Jammu and Kashmir to receive accreditation for the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) program in Emergency Medicine.
Officials said the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has granted accreditation for 10 additional DNB/Diploma seats, which is set to strengthen healthcare services.
The medical college’s Nodal Officer for DNB, Dr Mir Wasem, said the GMC Handwara has been granted accreditation for 10 additional DNB/Diploma seats, taking the total sanctioned capacity to 34 seats.
“GMC Handwara has become the first medical college in J&K to secure accreditation in Emergency Medicine with 4 seats, a distinction previously held only by SKIMS, which has 2 seats in this speciality,” he sai
