Two women who were arrested after a Port Huron Police Department officer shot a dog appeared in court Tuesday, Nov. 18.

One of them, 23-year-old Paige Armstrong, entered a guilty plea to attempted assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer.

Armstrong was originally charged with the non-attempted version of the crime, a felony punishable with up to two years in prison. The plea deal reduces her offense to a misdemeanor and is punishable with no more than a year in jail.
