Champion is expanding its collection outside of sweatpants and hoodies. The sportswear brand is entering the fragrance market.
Champion is crafting men's and women's fragrances in collaboration with cosmetics brand Revlon, according to a news release from Authentic Brands Group, the company that owns Champion.
"This partnership with Revlon is a natural extension of Champion’s evolution," Jarrod Weber, Authentic Brands Group sports and lifestyle president, said in the news release. "As we expand our footprint in fashion and lifestyle, fragrance is the next frontier. And Revlon, a long-standing, trusted, and proven partner to Authentic, is uniquely positioned to help us craft a sensory experience that resonates with our global audience."
Champion is not an outlier. Several other sportswear brands have their own fragrance lines. Adidas, in fact, released its first perfume, Adidas Active Bodies, in 1990.
What scents will Champion's new fragrances be?
Neither Champion nor Revlon has shared the scents of the new fragrances.
When will the Champion fragrances be available to buy?
The Champion fragrances will be available internationally in 2027, according to the news release.
