If one were to look at Adelaide Monika's rugby league resume, it would become fairly apparent that she doesn't tend to stay in one place for long.
There are any number of ways to interpret that trend, but the explanation, Monika said, is actually fairly simple.
"I like to go where the help is needed," she said.
The 40-year-old started her footy career with Bendemeer in the mid-2010s. From there, she also coached with the South West Robins, Manilla Tigers, and most recently the Tamworth Crows at the Koori Knockout.
But her athletic career began long before she took up footy in Tamworth. In fact, sport was her family's favourite pastimes while she was growing up in Gisborne, on the east coast of New Zealand's north island.
