The US House of Representatives has passed legislation to force the public release of documents from the investigation into late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Only one House member voted against the bill.
It will now go to the Senate, where Republican leaders have indicated they want the bill amended.
If it becomes law, the Epstein Files Transparency Act would compel the US Department of Justice to publish all unclassified documents relating to its investigation and prosecution of Epstein.
President Donald Trump had previously fought hard to head off a vote. But he reversed course after it became clear the bill had the support of a majority of House members.
