Wallabies outside centre Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii has been short-listed for World Rugby's men's breakthrough player of the year following his code switch from the NRL.

Suaalii is one of four players nominated for the award, which will be announced on November 22.

The 22-year-old has been included alongside New Zealand's Fabian Holland, South Africa's Ethan Hooker and England's Henry Pollock.

The award recognises "emerging talents who have made a significant impact on the international stage in 2025".

Suaalii, in Paris ahead of the Wallabies' Test against France on Sunday morning AEDT, credited his teammates for his nomination.

"It's pretty cool to get named … no award goes without a team, so it's all credit to the team to be able to be nominated for an award," he said.
