KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee will be hosting a holiday food distribution in Knoxville on Wednesday.

“Second Harvest staff and volunteers will be distributing items for a traditional holiday meal along with other shelf-stable goods, fresh produce, and frozen turkeys,” the food bank said in a news release.

Food will be distributed at Redemption Church at 3550 Pleasant Ridge Road in Knoxville beginning at 10 a.m. with gates slated to open at 8 a.m. Second Harvest emphasized not to show up before gates open.

In total, food will be provided to 800 families, and each vehicle can receive food for up to two households.
