Boston is set to find out which of its restaurants — if any — are worthy of legendary Michelin stars.

Earlier this year, Michelin announced it's bringing its prestigious restaurant guide to Greater Boston as well as Philadelphia, and the announcement is being made Tuesday night.

Stars from the Michelin Guide are among the most coveted honors in the food scene. They're awarded based on visits from independent, anonymous inspectors with high standards, and hospitality and food industry insiders say it's a big deal for the city and its suburbs.
