One person was killed and several others were injured after a car crash in Maine sent one vehicle into a salon.

The incident occurred on Lisbon Street in Lewiston around 1 p.m. local time on Saturday, Nov. 15, police said in a news release .

Two vehicles, a Jeep Wrangler and a Ford F-150, were traveling down the roadway when they collided due to an improper lane change, the department said. The Ford vehicle hit a utility pole, while the Jeep slammed into JD Cuts Hair Salon, authorities added.
