The Bears have signed linebacker and notable special teamer Jalen Reeves-Maybin to their practice squad, the team announced on Tuesday.
Reeves-Maybin, 30, was originally a fourth-round pick by the Lions in 2017. He spent seven of his eight seasons in the NFL in Detroit, having had two stints there with one year on the Texans in between in 2022. He has served primarily as a special teamer throughout his career, making a Pro Bowl and being named a second-team All-Pro for his work in the third phase in 2023. This marks the first time he has been signed for the 2025 season.
Over the course of his NFL career, he has had 51 special teams tackles and 12 assisted tackles. In all but one of his seasons in the league, he graded above the average mark of 60.0 that PFF uses. He also started 11 games
