A Des Moines chef celebrated for his role in the city’s French dining scene has been arrested on a new sexual abuse charge, the latest in a series of criminal allegations that have already fractured a planned restaurant comeback.

Enosh Kelley , a James Beard Foundation semifinalist for Best Chef Midwest in 2009 and the former chef behind the acclaimed French restaurant Bistro Montage, was taken into custody Tuesday, Nov. 18 on charges of sexual abuse and invasion of privacy. The charges stem from a 2023 incident, according to a news release from the Des Moines Police Department.
