Ten Democratic secretaries of state are requesting information from the departments of Justice and Homeland Security about their collection and use of voter roll data.

In a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem sent Tuesday, the top election officials in their states said they are concerned the DOJ has improperly shared voters’ sensitive personal information.

“Each undersigned Secretary has received a letter from DOJ in recent months seeking statewide voter registration lists,” the letter read. “In some cases, that request sought the full, unredacted statewide voter registration list, including registrants’ dates of birth, state driver’s license numbers and last four digits of Social Security numbers."
