SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The City of South Bend hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday to celebrate the completion of the Mishawaka Avenue Streetscape Project.
The project began in May and aimed to improve pedestrian infrastructure and calm traffic along Mishawaka Avenue. Officials said the improvements benefit the growing neighborhood and its businesses and represent the city’s commitment to safety.
The improvements include new curbs and sidewalks, new lighting, landscaping and street resurfacing.
