CIF Girls Golf State Championship

When: 8 a.m. Wednesday

Where: Poppy Hills Golf Course, Pebble Beach

Format: The tournament is one round. Each team is represented by six golfers. A team’s score is determined by the combined score of its lowest five golfers. Torrey Pines High School and Rancho Bernardo High School qualified for the tournament.

At stake: Torrey Pines is the defending team champion and has won six state titles, including last year’s. The Falcons’ Zoe Jiamanukoonkit won the individual championship as a sophomore in 2023 and finished second in a playoff last year to Palos Verdes’ Rina Kawasaki. Kawasaki is back to defend her title. The Falcons will be represented by Jiamanukoonkit, who will play at Cal, as well as Kate Hu, Tyanna Jacot (San Jose State), Alice Koontz
