Homer police have arrested a Texas man following a string of break-ins and thefts.

Officers say multiple incidents occurred on Monday, starting with a home on Kachemak Drive being broken into while the residents were away. Later reports included a man shining lights into a home in the Soundview area and another person found inside a vehicle on Tajen and Eric Lane.

Around 4 a.m., police responded to a business alarm on the Homer Spit and discovered the suspected vehicle used in the crimes. The truck was seized, and 26-year-old John Austin Mixon of Katy, Texas, was arrested after being identified through security cameras.

Mixon faces charges including Burglary 2, Criminal Trespass, and Theft. Police are investigating additional incidents and are asking anyone in the affected areas to cal
