YouTube TV has finally settled its carriage dispute with ABC, meaning that subscribers once again have access to ABC, ESPN, and other Disney-affiliated channels.
This is great for those who use the service for now. But what about the next carriage fight? The last one, with CBS, was as recent as August. What happens in a few months when another company inevitably clashes with YouTube TV again?
The service is constantly battling with the networks it advertises as key features of a subscription. While much of this is due to the uncertainty of the current TV landscape, especially regarding streaming platforms, it begs the question: why pay $80 for a service that loses channels every few months?
