GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The grand opening of the Acrisure Amphitheater in downtown Grand Rapids is fast approaching.
This will be a new venue sure to attract thousands of people and bring lots of entertainment to the city.
However, in a case of an emergency like severe weather, it is crucial to have a severe weather plan in place ahead of the opening day in May 2026.
However, according to the Grand Rapids Emergency Management Administrator, Benjamin Rance, there is currently no severe weather plan yet for the 12,000-person outdoor venue.
"We're supporting ASM (Legends) Global by facilitating conversations and collaboration with all of the important stakeholders who are involved in developing the emergency action plan for the amphitheater. So, there isn't a specific plan right now, but
