The Minnesota Vikings fell to a 4-6 record on Sunday when they lost 19-17 to the surprising Chicago Bears. Even though they struggled offensively, they led by one with under a minute left and had a chance to win until Cairo Santos of the Bears hit the game-winning field goal with no time left.
Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy had another subpar performance on Sunday. In his third game back from an ankle injury he suffered early in the season, he completed just half of his 32 pass attempts for 150 yards and had two interceptions and one touchdown pass. On the season, he has a 52.9 percent completion rate, has more interceptions (eight) than touchdown passes (six), and has a 61.7 passer rating.
He has faced lots of criticism for his poor play, and many are calling for him to be benched.
