It is not surprising that the defending 5A football state champion Hillcrest Knights are back to defend their title.

No. 1 Hillcrest (11-1) has dropped only one game this year (to 6A defending champions Rigby) and looked the powerhouse part for most of the season. Nothing changed last Friday as the Knights took down No. 4 Twin Falls 44-20 in the 5A tournament semifinals.
