LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Tuesday it is investigating a sexual assault allegation against imprisoned music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

According to the department, it received a report from the Largo, Florida, police department on Friday, and the agency’s Special Victims Bureau was investigating the allegations, which were initiated by a music producer who anonymously sued Combs in Los Angeles in July but went public last month as the plaintiff in the case.
