MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — Police have announced an arrest in connection with a fight that ended in stabbing in a Mesa neighborhood in late September that turned deadly.
Mesa police said Tuesday that 29-year-old Robert Castillo has been booked on accusations of second-degree murder and aggravated assault charges.
Officers were called out to Barkley just south of Main Street around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 29. Police arrived to find a man who has been stabbed multiple times. At the time, police had said that a fight had broken out before the attack.
The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and died on Oct. 26 from his injuries. Police have not released his name.
